Concept Mapping

MindMesister , MindOmo, Freemind Share and Bubbl.us, four online collaborative mapping tools, enable learning to occur both individually and collectively. A mind map is a presentation of words, ideas, tasks linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or theme. It can be used to generate, visualize, structure and cluster ideas for an essay and project writing. Please share what you think of the these tools and how they benefit your language teaching and learning.

I am part of a team that has developed a new tool called comapping.com. Our primary focus is actually education and we have done a number of test with students from college to primary school students with our software. We are currently running a study with a large high school here in Denmark and the result so far has been very promising.

Have a look at it and met me know what you think

I would say "mind mapping" is a very useful teaching and learning tool either for educators or lerners. While I learn many things including language, professional
knowledge and skills, I feel Using the mapping skill can benefit my thinking and enhance my organization and comprehension.Besidies, the mapping can help me when I need to give a presentation or write my paper. One of my friends sent me
a software of mapping which she thought very useful and I also think so. With the development of information technology, there are more and more relevant products of mind mapping, which is good because taking advantage of good and convenient tool can make learning efficient and effective.

More info can be accessed via Buzan's office homepage. Mind mapping harnesses the full range of cortical skills–word, image, number, logic, rhythm, color and spatial awareness– in a single, uniquely powerful manner. In so doing, it gives you the freedom to roam the infinite expanses of our brain. We should utilize it more in learning or teaching language! http://www.buzanworld.com/mindmaps/
